Grand Street Campus has played varsity football for only two seasons, but already the Wolves want to be mentioned among the city’s top teams. Maybe they have a case. Behind a 135-yard three-TD performance by Javon Sistrunk, the Wolves scored a 26-12 win over Truman – making them the only undefeated team left in the PSAL.

The Wolves feel their youth has kept them from getting the respect they deserve. With only a year’s experience, the the team rated a “1” – the lowest power-rating in the PSAL system – giving GSC a schedule with other lower-rated teams and making it harder for it to gain valuable power points.

Still the Wolves are the top-rated “1” team in the city and were still in the playoff mix, ranked 12th in the city overall, heading in to this weeks competition. Winning one of those 16 Playoff spots would go a long way toward winning respect.
