A quick look back at the first four games; the teams that have
looked good, not so good, and other random observations:
Surprises: Fort Hamilton, Grand Street Campus, JFK and Far Rockaway.
Ed Gazzillo has done one of the best coaching jobs in the city, taking Grand
Street Campus' second-year varsity program (which happens to be a 1-rated team)
into the mix of PSAL heavyweights. True, the Wolves probably would get pounded
by a team like Sheepshead Bay, Wagner or Curtis, but Gazzillo and Company deserve
the chance to find out, firsthand, in the playoffs.
From the Who'da-Thunk-It Department: That Grand Street Campus would have more
wins (5) than the following teams combined - Canarsie (1); New Utrecht (1);
Lincoln (1); South Shore (1); Clinton (0) and August Martin (0).
